11.17.08 YOU MUST READ THIS STORY. I want to thank the Sentinel for bringing to light this great injustice. This proves once again why a local paper sharing the voice of their community is so necessary and important. Please read this story and submit your responses to our news page. We cannot and will not let this happen. Should any of you have contacts or numbers to call for any of the people mentioned in the article, please email: topher_miller@yahoo.com, it is important we do not let this go any farther. Please get involved in saving this young man’s life, it is not his fault that there was a lack of conscience from a dirty attorney and the inability of an overwhelmed judicial system to right this wrong. We must act NOW! Sincerely, Christopher Miller

Voices Behind the Walls would
like to apologize to the family of Tony R. During the move to
the new website his picture and biography was inadvertently left
off the “Letters” page. This problem has now been fixed, and we
are honored to have Tony’s powerful letter on the website once
again. 07.01.07 Terry Goudeau was involved in a horrible traffic accident. While driving his work truck he was hit head on and thrown out the windshield of his truck. By the grace of god, Terry survived the accident, which once again reaffirms his faith in god and the work that he is doing in the communities. We are blessed that Terry Goudeau may once again share his strength and hope. 06.01.07 John “Apollo” Payne was shot in May as someone tried to break into his house during an apparent robbery. This is the same neighborhood Apollo has lived in since he was a child. This shows that nobody is safe from violence, and the harder you work for change the harder it becomes. God continues to let Apollo heal and Apollo speaks with a voice of peace and understanding. There is no anger in his message instead he concentrates on educating the youth of today about peace and working together to achieve a goal. We are blessed that Apollo walks with us once again. |
